Who We Are

We're Aaron and Samantha Berlow — a husband-and-wife team behind 2DollarTests.

On the surface, our careers couldn't be more different. One of us chose the world of finance; the other chose social work, a career centered on helping people through some of their hardest moments.

What we did have in common was this: both paths required high-stakes licensing exams—and both of us were frustrated by the same broken test-prep experience.

Practicing what we were learning wasn't easy, and it certainly wasn't affordable. High-quality practice exams were locked behind expensive packages, single tests came with absurd price tags, and access to additional questions often meant repurchasing material we already owned.

Worse, we felt boxed into the writing style and logic of a single prep provider—often at the expense of feeling truly prepared on test day.

We came from different worlds, but shared the same anxiety, the same complaints, and the same belief that it shouldn't be this way.

We're not a test-prep corporation. We're test takers who got tired of being overcharged.

So we decided to fix the model.
